The state Assembly is scheduled to adopt new regulations today or Thursday for hot air balloonists that are expected to reduce insurance premiums and help preserve one of the symbols of Wine Country tourism.
.... Actually balloons are treated like airplanes for insurance purposes under California law (who would have thought) and the limits per accident /per person are allegedly high. Thus, the balloon interests (I love saying that) convinced the legislature to reduce the minimum insurance requirements.
