The BBC has two articles on insurance. The first (via Actuary.Net) states that female drivers will not be forced to pay the same premiums as higher risk males under the EU's new Gender Directive. Under the previous version (mentioned earlier) would have had a significant impact on the price for female drivers.
The second article concerns the efforts of a fortune-telling eunuch to obtain insurance from a state-run insurer in the Indian State of Tamil-Nadu. The alleged rationale is that the insurer only accepts applications from men or women, and rules being rules, applications from eunuchs are rejected.
Such a bland headline, Martin, for such an interesting pair of pointers. How about "How to Fix Gender Discrimination"
Why didn't the fortune-teller anticipate this problem? Sounds like one deductible too many.
